Just as the world is constantly reshaping itself, design is also fueled by renewal in the field of timeless, yet exciting in every detail, contemporary furniture. And when an old, iconic favorite gets a new look, loyal design fanatics feel like a little kid on the morning of their birthday. Familiar?
The news is true: the Gropius F51 armchair, which combines the Bauhaus tradition with modern airiness and extravagance, has been renewed. To create its fresh exterior, designer Katrin Greiling used striking color and texture combinations, thanks to which the model smuggles a special atmosphere into every home and office. The materials were created for Kvadrat by Belgian fashion designer Raf Simmons, and the primary source of inspiration for Greiling's design approach was textile artist Gunta Stölz. Wool, twill and tweed materials make the furniture, which has been reimagined after around 100 years, comfortable and sophisticated.
And when it's over, do you still remember last year's Breuer Marcell "Absence and Memory" exhibition in Pécs? At the exhibition, not only did Ágnes Vincze, the founder of VA Design, present his exquisite collection of design chairs, but the Hungarian audience could also meet the legendary Gropius armchair. And now that we've sufficiently hyped it up, let us announce: the special model can already be viewed and tested in Max City.
But not only the Gropius armchair is coming to MaxCity, but the entire Tecta range is also available and can be ordered.
